Meet Our Maltipoo Parents

At Little Clouds Maltipoos, our Maltipoo parents are an important part of our family and the foundation of our small, thoughtfully planned breeding program.

We believe that raising wonderful Maltipoo puppies begins long before a litter is born. The health, temperament, personality, size and overall wellbeing of our parent dogs all play an important role in our breeding decisions.

Our Maltipoo Dams & Sires

Our Maltipoo dams and sires are more than breeding dogs. They are members of our household and are cared for with the same love, attention and respect that we give the puppies born into our program.

Little Clouds Maltipoos is intentionally kept small. We do not continuously produce litters or operate as a high-volume puppy facility. Our breeding program is based on quality rather than quantity, and we breed only once every two years. This allows us to devote our attention to our dogs, our puppies and the families who will eventually welcome them home.

Why do our Maltipoo parents matter?

Genetics can influence characteristics such as size, coat, physical traits and temperament. While no breeder can guarantee exactly how every puppy will develop, carefully considering the parent dogs is an important part of thoughtful and responsible breeding.

Get to Know the Parents Behind Our Maltipoo Puppies

Below you can meet the Maltipoo parent dogs behind our puppies. Each parent has an individual personality, size, appearance and set of characteristics that we consider when planning a litter.

We want prospective puppy families to have an opportunity to learn about the dogs behind their puppy rather than seeing only the puppies themselves. Understanding the parents can also provide useful context when considering possible adult size, coat traits and temperament.

How Our Maltipoo Parents Fit Into Our Breeding Program

Our breeding philosophy at Little Clouds Maltipoos is simple: our dogs come first. We believe parent dogs should have a good quality of life and should never exist simply for the purpose of producing puppies.

This is one reason our breeding schedule is intentionally limited. We breed only once every two years rather than producing litter after litter. Between litters, our dogs continue enjoying normal family life and the companionship, attention and care they receive as members of our household.

❤️

Health-Focused Decisions

Health and overall wellbeing are important considerations when planning our Maltipoo litters. We believe responsible breeding should consider the parent dogs as well as the puppies they may produce.

🐾

Temperament Matters

Maltipoos are companion dogs, so personality is especially important to us. We value affectionate, people-oriented and adaptable characteristics when considering our breeding dogs.

🏡

Family Dogs First

Our Maltipoo parents live as part of our family. Our children and family members interact with our dogs, and the puppies are later raised within that same home environment.

Why We Breed Only Once Every Two Years

Little Clouds Maltipoos is not built around producing the maximum number of puppies possible. We intentionally maintain a very limited breeding schedule because we want to remain personally involved in raising every litter.

By breeding only once every two years, we can dedicate the time and attention necessary to caring for our parent dogs, preparing for a litter, raising the puppies in our home and helping each puppy transition into an appropriate family.

Our puppies are raised around our children and family members and are gradually introduced to appropriate handling, household activity, human interaction and early social experiences.

We believe this smaller, family-centered approach is much more consistent with the kind of Maltipoo breeding program we want to maintain.

What Can Maltipoo Parents Tell You About a Puppy?

One of the most common questions families ask is how large their Maltipoo puppy may become. Parent size can provide useful context when estimating possible adult size, although individual puppies may grow differently.

The parents may also provide information about characteristics such as coat type, colouring, structure and general temperament. Genetics are complex, however, and we do not believe responsible breeders should promise an exact adult weight, personality or appearance.

Instead, we encourage families to consider the information about both parents together with the individual puppy's developing personality when choosing their companion.

From Our Maltipoo Parents to Your Family

Once a litter arrives, our attention shifts toward giving the mother and her puppies the environment, care and time they need. Because our puppies are raised inside our home, we are able to observe them closely as their individual personalities begin to develop.

Families interested in one of our puppies can visit our Available Puppies page to see current availability and learn more about individual puppies.

When puppies are ready to leave our care, families may arrange personal pickup or explore the options explained on our Delivery & Pick Up page.
