At Maplewood Companion Dogs, our priority is to ensure that every puppy is placed in a safe, loving, and responsible home. Because bringing a puppy into your home is an important and long-term commitment, we carefully manage our reservation, refund, and return policies to protect both our puppies and our families.

Please review the following policies before placing a reservation or purchasing a puppy.

Reservation Deposits

In order to reserve a puppy, a non-refundable reservation deposit is required.

Reservation deposits help ensure that serious families are committed to welcoming a puppy and allow us to plan responsibly for each litter.

Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price of the puppy.

Because reserving a puppy removes that puppy from availability for other families, reservation deposits are non-refundable.

Refund Policy

Due to the nature of placing and preparing puppies for their new homes, we generally do not offer refunds once a puppy has been reserved or purchased.

However, there are a few situations where a refund or alternative arrangement may be considered.

Refunds may be offered if:

• The breeder is unable to provide the reserved puppy
• A serious health issue is identified before the puppy leaves our care
• A mutually agreed cancellation occurs before the puppy is prepared for pickup

In these cases, we may offer either:

• A full refund of the deposit
• The option to transfer the deposit to a future litter
• The option to select another available puppy

Pickup and Final Payment

Final payment for the puppy must be completed before or at the time of pickup or delivery.

Once the puppy has been transferred to the new owner, the sale is considered final except in situations covered under our Health Guarantee.

Return Policy

We understand that unexpected situations can occur. If at any time you are unable to continue caring for your dog, we strongly encourage you to contact us.

Our first priority is always the well-being of the dog.

While we do not provide refunds for returned dogs, we will do our best to assist in finding a safe and appropriate solution.

In many cases we may:

• Accept the dog back into our care
• Assist in helping the dog find a suitable new home

We ask that Maplewood Companion Dogs be contacted before rehoming the dog independently, as we want to ensure the dog’s safety and proper placement.

Responsible Ownership

Owning a dog is a long-term responsibility. By purchasing or reserving a puppy from Maplewood Companion Dogs, the buyer agrees to provide:

• Proper veterinary care
• Adequate nutrition
• Safe and loving living conditions
• Time, attention, and commitment to the dog’s well-being

Our goal is to place every puppy in a home where they will be loved and cared for throughout their lifetime.
